Years ago, Bix (Maurizio), the co-founder of MADEN (which later became MadInteriorArt), had to move out of his home following a sudden and difficult upheaval.
After moving into a new beautiful place and buying a few new things, he called me. We weren’t business partners yet, though we would become much more to each other later on.
“Something is missing here,” he told me.
“What?” I asked.
“I miss my armchair.”
“Okay,” I replied. “If you want, I’ll go with you to pick up a new one.”
And so we did. We found a very nice armchair not identical, but of the exact same dimensions and from the same era as his old one. Once it was delivered, he called me again.
“Something is still missing,” he said.
“What now?”
“The position. The position of the armchair. Drop by if you can.”
When I arrived at his home, he said, “Help me, I need to put it in the exact same spot it was in the other house.”
We moved it together. Once it was settled, he smiled and said, “Perfect. Now I don’t miss anything anymore.”
