In August for my vacation I decided to have a trip in Detroit, It’s not the first time that I visited States, I visited very often San Fran, because my cousin lives in San Jose (CA),so I usually spent my holidays there. I knew also very well NYC, and I find the big apple a very lovely city…but Detroit touched my heart… Detroit is magic… I took beautiful pictures there, I love architecture and there are many astonishing Art Deco building in D… the most awesome in my opinion is “The Guardian Building”, the interiors are amazing. Wirth C. Rowland, of the Smith, Hinchman & Grylls firm, was the building’s architect. The building rises from granite and stone six story base with two Corrado Parducci created sculptures flanking the Griswold Street entrance. The exterior blends brickwork with tile, limestone, and terracotta.

It’s important to say that Corrado Parducci was an important Italian sculpture from Pisa (Italy), but the Architect of Detroit was Albert Kahn, he designed the Belle Isle Conservatory, the General Motors Building (now Cadillac Place), the Fisher Building, and not only.
There are other beautiful buildings always in Art Deco Style, such as the Penobscot Building and the amazing Michigan Central Station, bought recently from Ford. I hope to come back there soon because I wanna take other amazing pictures.
