During my career as a graphic designer I created many logos for many companies! I felt very honored when Alberto Rubinelli, president of the “Museo del Computer” asked me to create a logo for the museum. The Museum is located in Northern Italy in a town called Camburzano (Biella). It hosts a collection of about 10,000 old computers that mark the steps of this technology.

Alberto Rubinelli, a computer afficionado, bought an old textile factory in Camburzano with the purposeof opening it to the public as a computer museum. I met Alberto a long time ago. We share an affection for vintage (as I am the daughter of an antiquarian, vintage is in my genes) and a passion for computers (numbers have always come easy for me).

I contacted him because I found an old Apple III in the dumpster. Of course, the machine did not work and Alberto seemed like the most qualified person to fix it. Sure enough he came all the way to my house and successfully fixed the old machine. Needless to say we spoke 4 or 5 hours about computers. I found him interesting, knowledgeable and absolutely perfect in his role as President of a Computer Museum! A great friendship was born.

This accomplishment made me so happy. Finally my passion for antiques met my passion for technology. I do have my own little personal computer collection. Pieces found at vintage markets or … trash bins…It includes, among others, Amiga 500, Commodore 64, Commodore 16, Apple III, and a Vic 20. I love my little collection, but when I want to experience the technology of the past I go to visit Roberto at the Museo del Computer.
I love technology, its past, its present and more and foremost its future.
